Detroit Show Lexus LF-LC Sports Coupe Photo Scans Leak on the Web

While Lexus was planning a slow strip tease for its 2012 Detroit Motor Show-bound sports coupe concept, the folks over at Autoblog.com discovered a video teaser from the 2012 February issue of Road & Track magazine, giving us our first look at the car, which will carry the LF-LC moniker. We don’t get any additional information on the rakish concept model, though in one of the photos, it looks like there's a "HYBRID" badge right in front of the rear wheel arch.
Lexus has previously told us that the design of the LF-LC would hint at a new design direction for the brand's future models.
We reckon that after the leak, the Japanese carmaker will probably come out with official pictures of the LF-LC soon, so stay tuned for more.

1973 Lamborghini Jarama GTS Could be Yours for $79k

The Jarama may be one of the lesser-known models to come out of Lamborghini's Sant'Agata factory, but it remains a genuine Italian exotic and a representative GT sportscar of the 1970s - and one which most gearheads would love to add to their collection. The one we found for sale on eBay is a 1973 Jarama GTS (also known as the Jarama S) with only 6,600 miles on its odometer and a 'Buy it Now' Price of US$79,000.
Named after the Jarama bullfighting region in Spain, the 2+2 Lamborghini sportscar was designed by Bertone's Marcello Gandini. It was introduced in 1970 as a replacement to the Islero with the Italian company claiming at the time that it was conceived for the "gentleman driver".
The first Jarama, built from 1970 to 1973, was powered by a 4.0-liter V12 engine with 350HP matched to a five-speed manual gearbox.
The Jarama GTS featured here was presented in 1973 and remained in production until 1976. Changes over the first model included an exterior makeover, a completely restyled interior and a more powerful version of the V12 engine delivering 365HP as well as the availability of an optional automatic transmission.
According to Lamborghini, a total of 176 Jarama and 152 Jarama GTS cars were built from 1970 to 1976.

Santa's Candy Cane Toyota Camry Packs 900-Candlepower, it Could be Yours for $1.7 Million

It sounds and looks like an April Fool's Day joke, but the Candy Cane car is real and it's up for grabs on eBay. But there's a small problem with this odd creation that's based on a 1991 Toyota Camry LE. It has a 'Buy it Now' price of...US$1.7 million or about €1.3 million if you live on the other side of the pond and it tickles your fancy instead of let's say, a Lamborghini Gallardo, a Ferrari FF, a Porsche Cayenne Turbo, a Rolls Royce Phantom and then some for a condo.
We'll assume that the asking price is part of the joke, but for some reason, 13 people have decided to bid up to US$73, with the strange thing about that being the number of bidders.
Perhaps they were enticed with the Camry's "highly reflective" wraparound, the "Rooftop gymnasium" or simply felt sorry for the real-life Boston Terrier hood ornament.

New 2013 Dodge Dart Compact Sedan Based on the Alfa Romeo Giulietta

The Chrysler Group has resurrected the Dart nameplate from the 1960s for its new Dodge compact sedan model that will receive its world premiere at the 2012 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in the second week of January. The new Dart is the first Chrysler Group vehicle to be based upon a Fiat architecture as it makes use of a modified version of the Alfa Romeo Giulietta hatchback's platform named Compact U.S. Wide (CUSW), which has been lengthened and widened to improve interior space.
The Detroit automaker says that 68 percent of the Dart's body is composed of high-strength steel, resulting in a "very strong and rigid structure".
Powering the 2013 Dodge Dart will be three four-cylinder gasoline powerplants including a new Tigershark 2.0-liter unit, a 1.4-liter MultiAir Intercooled Turbo engine that will most likely be shared with the Fiat Abarth 500 in the U.S., and a new Tigershark 2.4-liter MultiAir engine.
The MultiAir technology on the 1.4L Turbo and the 2.4L units that allows for direct and dynamic control of air intake and combustion is said to result up to a 15 percent increase in low engine rpm torque, a 7.5 percent improvement in fuel economy and a 10 percent reduction in C02 emissions.
We only get a glimpse of the exterior styling of the new Ford Focus- and VW Jetta-sized Dart, but it's obvious that the design with the split-crosshair grille and the full-width LED ‘racetrack’ tail lamps was inspired by the Charger.
The new Dart sedan will be manufactured at the Chrysler Group’s Belvidere Assembly Plant in Belvidere, Illinois.

Juke Nismo Concept gets its Video Debut, Nissan Says it may Enter Production

Nissan has big plans for its in-house motorsports and performance arm, Nismo, as the Japanese company announced earlier today that it wants to use the sub-brand's expertise to create a variety of sports cars based on the company's mainstream models on a larger scale. We're going to get a taste of what this means for Nissan with the presentation of the Juke Nismo concept at this week's 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. 
 
Along with the first details and pictures that we shared with you on Monday, the Japanese company also published two videos that explain the idea behind the creation of the Juke Nismo while also offerings us a better look at the car.
In the video, Shoichi Miyatani, president of Nismo, also confirms that if the feedback for the modified Nissan Juke Nismo is good it could spawn a production version in the very near future
