Ferrari Eric Clapton's One-Off SP12 EC

Ferrari sure took its time to bring up Eric Clapton's coachbuilt SP12 EC, but today, more than two months after we first laid eyes on the car through a set of pictures and a video shot at a London dealership, the Italians come out to tell us that the one-off exotic will be featured in the latest issue of the Ferrari Magazine. The breakdown of the 458 Italia-based model's name is: 'SP' for Special Project, '12' for the Ferrari 512BB that inspired its design and of course, 'EC' for Eric Clapton.
"The world-famous guitar player has been attached to one particular Ferrari model: the 512 BB, of which he has owned three over the years," said Ferrari in a statement. "So his desire was to drive a car inspired by this model, with influences from the multi-award winning 458 Italia."
Ferrari tells us that in the magazine article, Clapton talks about his passion and how the idea of a one-off car was born.
We do not get any other specific details about the SP12 EC other than that the Centro Stile Ferrari in collaboration with Pininfarina and the engineers from Maranello designed the one-off supercar.

Ferrari F430 Scuderia Replica Out of a Ford Cougar ebay, Ferrari, Ferrari F430, Ford, Mercury, Replica, UK

Who would have thought that the Ford Cougar, known as the last generation Mercury Cougar in North America, would prove so popular with the replica crowd? After a couple of Bugatti Veyron 16.4s and an Audi R8, we have now unearthed a Ferrari F430 Scuderia clone based on a low-mileage Cougar coupe V6.
The car's British owner says that the F430 Scuderia replica was professionally built in Spain with no expense spared, as even the interior of the Cougar was re-done from the ground up.
The...Forrari Cougeria was recently listed for sale on eBay, but was not sold with the owner rejecting bids as high as £20,000 (about US$31,200 or €25,000).
More photos of the car follow right past the jump.

Mini-Me Ferrari 360 Modena Spider is like the Toyota MR2

"Finally, the style of Italy meets the dependability of Japan," reads the seller's description of this Ferrari 360 Modena Spider replica that is built on a Toyota MR2 donor car from the year 2000, and which we found up for grabs on eBay. As is common in these type of builds, the replication of the Ferrari model is restricted to the exterior body panels with the interior left mostly intact (sans the Ferrari-badged seat covers).
The Italianized Toyota has allegedly covered 109,000 miles (about 175,000 kilometers) and according to the AutoCheck history report, it was involved in an accident back in 2007, hence the salvage title.
The cloned Ferrari MR2 is located in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and is listed on eBay with a 'Buy it Now' price of $20,000.

Ferrari 458 Italia Flips Twice in the Air

There is a reason why many consider the notorious corkscrew at the Laguna Seca raceway both fantastic and scary at the same time. If you want to know about the scary part, then you should take a look at what happened during the 2012 Ferrari Racing Days this past weekend.
While tackling the corkscrew, one of the drivers came in way faster than he should of and the 458 Challenge just continued on straight. Due to the car's momentum, the gravel and tires did not stop the Italian racer, which was flung into the air like a toy before it landed on its roof. A very scary incident indeed.
Fortunately, the driver walked away from the crash shaken but not hurt.
You can view the accident from various angles in the videos below.

Ferrari 458 Italia Emozione Tuned up

Inspired by its race-prepped Ferrari 458 Italias, Evolution 2 Motorsport (E2M) thought it would give the road-going model a go with the presentation of its "Emozione" tuning program. The Ferrari 458 Italia Emozione is finished in a two-tone blue and silver paintwork and features a new front splitter, mirror caps, chrome look air duct mesh and trim, a rear spoiler, a double rear lower diffuser at the back, and custom made 21-inch alloy wheels. In addition, the engine bay is trimmed in carbon fiber.
Inside, Evolution 2 Motorsport limited the upgrades to billet alloy pedals and footrests for both the driver and passenger area.
To improve performance, the company recalibrated the Ferrari V8's ECU and added a new carbon fiber volume air-box and a custom-made titanium sports exhaust system, which lift output from 562bhp (570PS) to 602bhp (610PS).

Ferrari F70 Supercar

You have probably seen our most recent pictures of the prototypes of Ferrari's Enzo replacement undergoing tests in Europe, but what could the actual production version look like when the new model, reportedly named the F70, hits showrooms in late 2013? For now, this is a question that will likely remain mercifully answered, but we have an interesting design study for the Ferrari F70 that was penned by industrial designer and current employee of Pininfarina's German subsidiary in Rüsselsheim, Constantin-Gabriel Radu.
The concept borrows elements from both the Ferrari 458 Italia as well as the previous Enzo, combining curves with hard creases and a teardrop glasshouse. If this design were to be produced, we would imagine that the car would obtain more air vents both on the sides and more importantly, on the rear end.
Before we let you flip through the rest of the images, we will remind you that at last week's Beijing Motor Show, Ferrari previewed its new HY-KERS hybrid system that's bound for the Enzo's successor and which links a V12 engine to a pair of electric motors, one to power the car's auxiliary systems, and the other to drive the rear wheels.
It is believed that that combined output of the twelve cylinder engine and the electric motor will surpass the 900-horsepower mark.
