Watch a Chevrolet Tahoe SUV Take a Plunge in a Lake

A Chevrolet Tahoe driver watched his full-size SUV that was pulling a trailer with a boat dip into a lake not once but twice! A bystander began filming the incident when the owner of the Tahoe was sitting on the vehicle's roof waiting for help, which arrived shortly after when another driver tossed a…ski rope and tow strap.
After connecting the rope and strap on the Chevy, the other vehicle began to haul in the Tahoe. The whole process seemed to be going well until the rope and strap broke off sending the Tahoe back into the lake for a second time.
YouTube user Gotyourgear said of the incident:
"Chevy Tahoe goes into lake. The audio says the car was left in reverse. That was said on the spot before I knew the details. Tahoe owner said the truck was in park. Video starts with the Tahoe coming out the first time.
A nice passerby hooks up a ski rope and a tow strap to pull him out. As soon as it is pulled out the rope breaks and it goes right back in as seen at 1:10 in the video. It made for a crappy day for this fellow and his wife.
Thank goodness the family wasn't in the car and nobody was seriously hurt. The guy who owns the Tahoe was treated for hypothermia. The Chevy Tahoe was totalled, as you can guess. Be careful out there."
Evidently, you can find many things wrong about this incident including that the driver should have opened the Tahoe's doors to let out the water as soon as he touched land, but perhaps the most important thing to note is the fact that we saw several people standing right beside the rope and tow strap – which is a very big no-no for safety reasons.
You can have your say in the comments section below.

This Accident Could Have Ended Much Worse

Watching a large truck tip over while negotiating a curve on the road and then seeing it coming towards your way without you being able to react is an experience that no driver would like to face. That said, this driver should feel extremely fortunate that the only thing damaged in the incident you are about to view in the video below is the front end of his car...

Ferrari 458 Italia Flips Twice in the Air

There is a reason why many consider the notorious corkscrew at the Laguna Seca raceway both fantastic and scary at the same time. If you want to know about the scary part, then you should take a look at what happened during the 2012 Ferrari Racing Days this past weekend.
While tackling the corkscrew, one of the drivers came in way faster than he should of and the 458 Challenge just continued on straight. Due to the car's momentum, the gravel and tires did not stop the Italian racer, which was flung into the air like a toy before it landed on its roof. A very scary incident indeed.
Fortunately, the driver walked away from the crash shaken but not hurt.
You can view the accident from various angles in the videos below.

Child Opens Door and Falls on the Road, see what's happen next

Even if you do not leave a child alone in the car as this Boston woman did, there is still a possibility that a kid might misbehave and get into trouble, like this youngster did after he or she somehow opened the door of a moving minivan and fell on the road in China. The security camera footage shows a woman, possibly the child's mother, unsuccessfully reaching out to catch the kid as it opens the door. The child falls down but the mother swiftly jumps out of the moving vehicle leaving the car to drive on by itself.
Happy that she could save the kid from the oncoming traffic, the woman doesn't care about the fate of the car and even returns back to pick up something that the child dropped down. The video awaits for you after the break.

Alleged Hyundai Sonata YF Sudden Acceleration Crash at 117km/h

No doubt, you have all heard about the sudden acceleration problems that plagued the Toyota Group, mainly in North America, for a couple of years. Now, a driver is putting the blame of a car crash that occurred this past Sunday, May 6, 2012, in the South Korean city of Daegu, on a sticky accelerator. The said car is the latest generation Hyundai Sonata YF sedan. What makes this incident of particular interest is that it was captured on film by a dashboard mounted camera in the Sonata, which is something we don't remember seeing before in crashes relating or alleged to be related to sticky accelerator pedals.
The 30-second long clip shows the Korean sedan stopped at a light with a previous generation Hyundai standing in front when the Sonata appears to accelerate. At this point, we hear a conversation from the driver and passengers as well as a sound that may or may not be from the handbrake being lifted.
From there on, the Korean sedan appears to accelerate uncontrollably with the driver passing several red lights, narrowly avoiding a couple of crashes only to end up rear-ending a stopped car at a speed of 117km/h (72mph) - at least according to the GPS data displayed on the video.
Korean news sites said that the Daegu Nambu Police is investigating the accident and has asked the National Institute of Scientific Investigation for help.
Any assistance from our Korean readers to translate what is being said in the video, would be appreciated.

Audi R8 Drifts, Smashes Into Lada Rolling it Over, then Runs Away

There seems to be no end in sight to the crazy stories from the wild, wild East that is Russia's roads. Today, one of our readers tipped us off about this footage showing an Audi R8 making a very quick U-turn on a central road, somewhere in Russia. For a couple of seconds, all seems to be going well but as the German sports car enters the straight it smashes onto the side of what looks like an older Lada Samara, knocking the Russian sedan over.
While we see people running to help the driver of the green sedan, the R8 coupe makes a run for it passing a red light in the process.
We should note that some commentators on YouTube are having doubts about the authenticity of the video, especially since the person filming it seemed unfazed - if you speak the language, we would appreciate it if you could help with the translation of what is being said in the clip.
You can weigh in your thoughts after watching the incident in the video that follows after the break.

Toyota 86 Coupe Drifts Into a Metal Barrier in Japan

Drifting a lightweight, rear-wheel drive coupe like the Toyota 86, which is Japan's version of the North American Scion FR-S and the European Toyota GT 86, on a wet parking lot can be loads of fun just as long as you accept the increased risk of losing control. Which is what happened to one of the drivers trying out the 86 at a parking lot in Odaiba, Japan, last Friday on March 9.
Fortunately for the driver, he didn’t hit the metal barrier hard thus reducing the damages to the car. If you want to see what happened, head past the break for the video.

This is what Happens when you Leave a Maserati Gran Turismo's Door Open

If it’s going to happen, it's going to happen. During the filming of a Polish television show named "Zakup Kontrolowany", reporter Adam Kornacki changed places with local actress Malgorzata Socha behind the steering wheel of a Maserati Gran Turismo.
Even though the man was careful not to hit the door on the bus that was standing beside the car, he didn't figure that the truck driver would take off at an angle slamming the Maserati's door.
Watch how it happened in the video after the jump.

Ford Mustang Drifts Over Cement Median and Peugeot 107

Did the driver of this modded, fifth gen Ford Mustang attempt to drift on purpose or did he simply enter the turn a bit too fast and lost control of the car? Who knows. The end result is that he (or she, we can't be sure) slid right over the cement median and crashed into a Peugeot 107 on the other side of the road. Bet the Peugeot driver didn't see this coming.
And if you haven't figured it out already from the dashcam-mounted camera, this accident took place in mother Russia.
The video awaits your curiosity right past the break.

Another Kid falls off a School Minibus!

What is it with kids falling from minivans these days? This is the second incident we've seen this week. The YouTube poster of the video says it took place in China. We can't say for sure if the child was placed in the trunk behind the seats by the school bus driver and fell when the tail gate opened by itself in a corner turn or if he was up to mischief and opened the hatch by himself.
Either way, the sizeable school bag seems to have cushioned his fall. Watch the video right after the jump.

Russian Karate Girl Takes a Fit and Attacks SUV

Just a warning; if you ever happen to travel to Russia, you'd better be on the lookout for a black Mazda6 sedan with a hefty blonde passenger. She's trained to kill your vehicle if you ever cross paths with her, so watch out… Amuse yourself for about a minute in the video that follows below the jump.

Nissan SUV Slams Stationary Honda Civic that was Getting Ready to Street Race

We're not saying it can't happen, but the last thing you expect to see on an open road at night is two motionless vehicles occupying both regular lanes. Is it that difficult to see that this is something extremely dangerous for all parties involved? Apparently, the answer is yes…

Too bad these drivers had to find out the hard way when an unrelated Nissan SUV slammed into a Honda Civic hatchback that was standing still revving its engine as the owner was preparing to race another Civic on an unnamed road in Tampa, Florida.

Woman Tries to Escape Three Times After Being Stopped by Police

Surely, anyone with an iota of common sense would give it up when surrounded by at least three police vehicles, right? Well, maybe most people but not Alexandra Osteyee-Hoffman. The 28-year old North Carolina woman tried not once, but three times (!) to escape from the police last Friday. It all began when deputies came to her house to serve papers on a hearing. The officer approached her Toyota Corolla and asked for her at which point she took off only to be cornered by at least three police vehicles shortly after.
From that point on, we have the video footage from the police car dashboard camera, which shows her fleeing the scene for the second time leading the police on a high-speed chase – well, as fast as a Corolla can go, that is…
Police officers had no trouble passing here and dropping stop sticks on the road, one of which pierced her tire. However, the young woman wasn't about to give up as she attempted to flee on foot. The deputies had no problem catching her after a very brief chase…
According to WBTV news, the woman faces several charges including, but not limited to, felony fleeing to elude arrest, fail to yield and stop, reckless driving to endanger and three counts of resisting a public officer.

Hummer H2 Parks on Top of a Dacia Logan

Love it or loath it, who can deny that the Hummer H2 was and to some extent continues to be today an over-the-top status symbol for the rich and famous. In fact, it’s not uncommon for some Hummer owners to the take H2's over-the-top attitude in the…literal sense.
There's not much info on how the H2 driver managed to park the heavy-weight SUV on top of a Dacia Logan other than that the incident took place somewhere in Romania, but the CanCan website that posted these pictures says no one was hurt from the incident.

Biker Does a Ninja Flip in Crash

You know they say that Chuck Norris is so tough that when he fell off his bike, he broke the road. We can't say whether or not this motorcyclist in Asia (we're not sure about the country) is as tough as Chuck, but he might as well star in one of his movies after what he accomplished here… Don't believe us? Well then just flip over the jump and land your mouse on the video player button.

This is Why Russians Add Dashboard Cameras to their Cars

No doubt, you've probably seen at least a few videos shot from within a car originating from Russia and other countries of the former Soviet Union. Now, in the event that you were wondering why so many drivers choose to fit their vehicles with a dashboard mounted camera, we believe that the following clip will provide you with an answer...

Chechnya Wedding Car Parades are a True Death Race

Horn and blinkers? Fudge that, automatic weapons can be much more convincing and when the vehicle in front of you doesn't slow down to let you pass by just give it a slight nudge and it will work out for the guy with the largest automobile. Welcome to what is claimed to be a Chechnya wedding tradition where drivers are supposed to get behind the car that transports the evidently, very brave bride, for good luck.
We could have sworn that we saw Jason Statham popping his head out the window at some point… Get to know Chechnya's wedding traditions a little bit better in the videos after the break.

Lexus IS-F Drifter Drive On Top of a Set of Concrete Blocks [Video]

After watching the following videos over and over again, the kindest explanation we can give about this incident that took place during the demo drift run at last week's Tokyo Auto Salon is that something went wrong and all of a sudden the driver of the Lexus was confronted with a locked steering wheel and stuck gas pedal. Now, if that's not the case, then the driver of the IS-F racer not only has a lot of explaining to do but he should probably also avoid making any public appearances for the near future…

Watch Roadside Assistance Pull a Honda Civic from the Top of a Cadillac CTS [Video]

We just got our hands on fresh footage from the January 5 accident in Wellesley, Massachusetts, when a 51-year old driver of a Honda Civic sedan slammed the accelerator pedal instead of the brake and hit a curb that sent his car a flying into a garage and on top of a fairly new Cadillac CTS. Fortunately, no one was hurt from the accident, though both cars were significantly damaged.
The newly released video, which you can watch after the jump, shows the roadside assistance trucks as they were trying to extract the Honda from the parking lot the same way it entered the building.

Lamborghini Outing Results in a Gallardo Crashing on the Highway

Remember the highly publicized exotic supercar crash in Japan about a month ago that involved eight Ferraris, three Mercedes-Benzes and a Lamborghini? Well, we just stumbled on another incident involving several supercars, although this time, only one of them crashed. Unlike the Japanese pileup which we saw after it happened, this Lamborghini crash was filmed as it occurred by a following vehicle's dashboard mounted camera...
The clip shows at least four Lamborghini Gallardos speeding on the highway with two of them racing each other. The orange and lime-green colored Raging Bull models attempted to bypass the car with the camera in the middle at the same time, but from different lanes.
As they entered the middle lane, the driver of the lime-green Gallardo lost control of the Lamborghini and smashed into the highway median. Fortunately, no other car seems to have been involved in the accident.
